Whats New?
The book report for
March will be a project.
The students will be
asked to create a
diorama that depicts a
scene from their story
using either a shoe box
or a smaller cardboard
box.
Students should also
write a small paragraph
to accompany their
diorama. These will be
presented in class on
March 27, 2015. The
students will share their
dioramas with the class
and give a brief
description as to why
their scene is important
to the story.

The Learning Fair will

be taking place on April
21, 2015. Students
should return their sheet
with their choice of
topics back to school
before March 24th.
This week during
Writers Workshop we
wrote about what it
would be like to be a
flower. The students
had very creative stories
and ideas that they
wrote about! They are
becoming very confident
in sharing their writing in
front of the class!

Red Oak Nature Center

This week we traveled
to Red Oak Nature
Center for maple tree
tapping. The students
learned about the
process of maple
tapping and taking the
tree sap and turning it
