Shravan Rudra Puja 2014

Introduction
Jai Gurudev!

Oh! The lord of lords, Mahadev

The manifestation of the three worlds
The omnipresent, the pure consciousness
Destroyer of evil, lord of mercy and compassion
Source of fertility, bestower of prosperity
I pray to you, please shower your grace!
What is Rudra Puja
God is worshipping us every day! Imitating that god is doing to us is puja. An action
born out of a blossomed mind is puja. Honouring from the heart which is full is puja.
Gurudev throws new light on the meaning of the word puja.
OM NAMAH PRANAVARTHAYA
SHUDDHA JNANIKA MOORTHAYE
NIRMALAYAPRASHANTAYA
DAKSHINA MOORTHAYE NAMAHA
Understand the word puja. Poo means poornatha, fullness. Ja means born out
of. That which is born out of fullness is puja. When your consciousness becomes so
full and in that state when you do an action that is known as puja. When heart is full
and you are overwhelmed, when an action is done out of that overwhelming state
and gratitude is expressed, that is known as puja.
Rudrapuja is an ancient practice that has been followed in India since time
immemorial. Rudra means Shiva The Benevolent, The Destroyer of evil. Puja means
that which is born of fullness. Through this puja one can aim for inner peace and
fulfillment.

Why Rudra Puja

The world is a play of energy, negative and positive. When we pray to Shiva the
Lord of transformation; the entire negative energy around us in the form of disease,
depression, and unhappiness gets transformed into peace, prosperity and joy. Peace
around us, in the mind, body and soul.

Important Guidelines:

Swamijis and Veda boys have long schedule for travelling, and Veda boys also

and to ensure that everybody stay in good health throughout their travel only
2 pujas in a day should be organized. Any other Puja above that shall
be taken only with the joint consent of Vedaboys and Swamiji.

All State co-ordinators to ensure that there is proper arrangement of

accommodation and food for Swamiji as well as Vedaboys, wherever they are

travelling, The food should be simple without Onion and Garlic and should be
given on time.

Local co-ordinators must ensure that no cash gifts to be given to Vedaboys

neither in personal pujas nor in samuhik pujas.

Aarti thali should be handled by a senior teacher/ volunteer and should not be
given to Veda boys.

Accounts should be settled within 15 days of Shravan Puja completion.

Additional recommendations for effective organizing:

arrangements for Puja.
Play Shiv manas pooja music before puja or any other soft music to give
harmonious and soothing start.

Pooja timings preferably evening 5 or 6pm not later than that.
We can arrange Aarti thali (min. 10, may be more depending upon the no. of
people) so that Aarti can be reached to all.
Allocate a sincere and focused volunteer team for this purpose.
