Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was born in Rolihlahla Mandela 18


of July 1918. His nicknames are; Madiba , Tata and
Dalibunga . His religion was: Methodist . He had 5
children and their names are Thembekile , Makaziwe ,
Makgatho , Zenani and Zindiswa. Nelson died 5 th of
December 2013 ( age 95) .
His wife was called Evelyn
Ntoko Mase.
He also married Whinnie Madikizela.
Also he married Graca Machel. You can go visit
Nelson Mandelas grave in Quno Eastern cape, South
Africa. Thats close to The Mazeppa bay or its close
to Madwaleni Hospital.

Why Nelson Mandela is important

Nelson Mandela is important because he was the


president of South Africa. He was South Africas first
black chief executive. Mandela
served 27 years in
prison, initially on Robben Island. He went to prison
because he fought agents negotiations with National
President F.W de Klerk to abolish apartheid ( racial
segregation ) and establish multiracial elections in
1961 in which he led the ANC to victory and became
South Africas first black president. He published his
autobiography in 1995.
