History of Body Cameras

2005- Plymouth Basic Command Unit purchased a single

camera unit to test for police worn cameras

2006-First time body worn cameras(BWC) were covered

in the media on a worldwide scale during the trial of Fiona Linehan

2014- LAPD becomes the first major Police Force to attempt

to outfit its entire force of 7,000 with BWCs
