EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Weblogs have become a critical aspect in the modern business day. First utilized in 1994, blogs
exploded in the early 2000 and now provide an important communication channel between business and
consumer. Consumers center their lives around the internet and social media, and businesses can now
intermediate between consumers daily visiting of the internet. Search engines are constantly filled with
consumer questions on products or best business for their needs, and as other consumers surf the web they
obtain an impression for future purchases. There are multiple studies that show positive relations between
consumers and advertising through blogs or social media. Even marketers agree that it is at least
important to establish an internet means for consumers to review a businesss blog or internet source. As
consumer culture transitions to the internet and social media outlets, businesses can grow by taking
advantage of the cost effective advertising and information source.
Data reveals benefits in these are:

Marketers rated bloggings as useful and informational


Companies who blog acquire more of their customers than the ones who do not
Customers feel more positive about a company after reading their blogs and learning more about their
business

In conclusion, the basis of these findings recommends that blogging for business people is important and
will not only help the growth of the business but also the consumers. Technology has become a great
advantage for the business industry and should be used as a tool for improvement and success.

INTRODUCTION
Advertising for businesses is in a constant change accommodating social and economic trends. The
purpose of this report is to inform you the importance and the effect of blogs on businesses. The
information presented on blogging is shown to enable business individuals to construct and utilize their
own business blogs.
Background:
The blog history is relatively short compared to the entirety of the internet and not experiencing large
amount of growth until the early 2000s. Throughout the mid 90s weblogs shared a slow growth first
being accredited to Justin Halls first blog Links.net and having only a few changes because mostly
programmers had the capability to experiment with weblogs. According to a list created by Jesse James
Garrett: blog exceled in growth from only 23 blogs on the internet to 50 million in 2006.
Purpose:
As the technology era progresses internet advertising and information for business are vital to maintain
growth. Blogs are not only associated with simple blog posts on Internet websites but social media blogs
such as Twitter or Instagram. Utilizing these communication channels creates an easy cost effective
resource not only for businesss but for customers to interact with the business. Recently food trucks
have taken to twitter to establish when and where they will be and to communicate with consumers
individually.
Significance:
The significance of blogs can be seen in the decline of older communication channels such as
newspapers, fliers, and billboards. Consumers are downloading apps and internet sources to find the best
deals or coupons for their favorite business. Companies can easily share information, tips, new products,
and upcoming events or sales. The most important aspect of blogging is that it is essentially free.
According to George Siemens, Where the Internet is about availability of information; blogging is about
making information creation available to anyone. Companies can share as much information and
promotions as they please with only the need of a domain or social media account.
Scope:
This report will consist of how a business blogs could be beneficiary for business and consumers.
Including statistics which shows how much consumers rely on the information they see on blogs such as
information about a certain product.
Organization:
The following contents include statistics that will back up the claims why blogging for business is
important. The collected data are from past years since internet blogging has been around in the business
industry.

FINDINGS
A. 60% of consumers feel more positive about a company after reading custom content on its
site. Some of the notable statistics like sixty seven percent of twitter users are more likely to
buy from brands they follow or seventy percent of consumers prefer getting to know a company
via articles rather than ads shows that blog posting is a crucial form of advertising but also
critical in customer relationships.

B. 92% of companies who blog multiple times per day have acquired a customer from their
blog. The internet has created an informal way of communicating with companies and
consumers. Now companies can blog and get immediate feedback from consumers. Catering to
the costumers and establishing internet relationships they created a positive relationship.

C. 81% of marketers rated their blog as "useful" or "better. Marketers support blog posts
because it is a fast and thorough way of presenting information to consumers. Advertising
through the internet companies can climb the internet search rankings which consumers will see
and consider towards future purchases. Figure 1 illustrates how the users feel about blogging;
its critical, important or useful.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS


Summary of Purpose:
As technology evolves, busineses advantages becomes easier to advertise their products and
communicate to their customers and share information and concerns. The purpose of this report is to show
how can a simple blog on the internet improve businesses throughout the industry. It is both beneficiary
to consumers and business owners enabling them to express their concerns and learn more about products
by just searching the web. It is a great tool to communicate between both sides of the business world.
Summary of Findings:
The findings included in this report is to support the claims made in the introduction. In these statistics
and graphs consists the collected data over the past years of how blogs helped businesses and consumers.
It is clear that many consumers rely on these blogs to learn more about companies and their products or
services. It is also clear that business has been successful at advertising their business through blogs and
sharing their ideas and knowlegde to their viewers.
Recommendations:
On the basis of these findings, it is highly recommend to any type of business and consumers to take a
look at blogging and use this as a tool to improve their business and consumers use to fully learn about
the products they purchase in their daily lives. Blogging has helped many businesses to expand and be
successful into the growth of their company.
