0 - Student Edition Quick Installation Guide

1. If you do not already one, create a PTC academic account from here:
https://www.ptc.com/appserver/common/account/ptcacademic.jsp
2. Download the DVD image of Creo 2.0 from here:
http://www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp
Accept the Export Agreement and then click Continue.
Use the Win 32-64 DVD (4245 MB) option to download the DVD image. Do not use the
Install from web option.
3. Unzip the downloaded DVD image (MED-100WIN-CD-390_M###_Win32-64.zip):
Note: ### represents the build code of Creo you downloaded. The actual number will vary from
030 to 040 and so on as additional Creo builds are released. The folder can be copied to a shared
drive, DVD or thumb drive and then be used to install the software on each client computer.
Use Windows Explorer to open the resulting folder named
MED-100WIN-CD-390_M###_Win32-64.
Run setup.exe.
o When installing on Windows 7, do this by right-clicking setup.exe and selecting
Run as administrator from the pop-up menu.
4. From the PTC Installation Assistant dialog box:
Select Install new software and then click Next.
Accept the Terms and Conditions and then click Next.
In the Simple License Entry product code field, enter BK390206EDSTUDENTEDK12 and
then click Install Licensing.
o Enter your PTC username (your email) and password.
o Click Login.
When you see the Success! message, click Next.
In the application list, make sure MKS Platform Components has been deselected and then
click Install.
After the installation is complete, click Finish.

You are now ready to use the Creo 2.0 - Student Edition
We recommend that you now use the Academic Programs Creo Standards to select your
default unit system and drawing standard. More information on this utility can be found
