AT&T Joins Youth Safety Council of Vermont
to Raise Awareness of Dangers of Texting While Driving
WHAT:

AT&T will join The Youth Safety Council of Vermont on May 13 to host an interactive
demonstration that will teach local high school students about the dangers of texting
while driving.
The YSC will bring its Turn Off Texting golf cart and invite students in Mr. Paul
Chapmans drivers education class to participate in the demonstration. Students will
attempt to send text messages while driving through a coned simulation course, showing
them first-hand the effects distracted driving has on their reaction time and awareness.
The Turn Off Texting golf cart will remain at the school throughout the day, so Mr.
Chapmans students can drive the course during their lunch hours.
