Andrea Glinski
Human Resources Manager
Bethesda Game Studios
Rockville, Maryland, U.S.
Dear Ms. Glinski,
I am applying for the posted position of Game Programmer.
The passion that Bethesda Game Studios puts into the creation of
visually stunning worlds, such as Fallout 3 and, the latest Elder Scrolls
title, Skyrim, is truly something to behold. I love that the games have
multiple directions a player can take, while still having an underlying
storyline. It is also fascinating to see how ones decisions throughout
the gameplay directly or indirectly affect the outcome of the story. It
would be an honor to be a part of such an extraordinarily creative
team.
My passion is speculating the future of the game industry,
specifically research in virtual reality, cutting-edge technology such as
yours is something I appreciate and given the opportunity to contribute
to would be a dream. My first programming language was C++ and I
have extended my knowledge to the use of vectors and extensive use
of Classes over the years. My enthusiasm for programming languages
has led to me programming automation bash scripts and rewriting
Python libraries to fit my needs.
Innovation is something I strongly support. I have spent hours
taking different approaches to what hardware/software is capable of
and the possibilities of how it can be implemented. It has been said by
those I have worked with that my communication skills are among my
stronger assets. I have been the documentation lead for the majority of
projects I have been involved with: obtaining requirements, creating
drafts, and revising specifications as necessary. This has brought me
into contact with an array of diverse individuals, from artists to clients.
The marvelous works of art that Bethesda Game Studios produces
deserve the utmost attention and passion I would strive to deliver.
Once again, I sincerely hope my application is considered for this
exciting career opportunity. Please contact me should you have any
questions about what I can contribute to your team.
