Mia did not have good time

management skills for this
project. She underestimated
the amount of time needed for
research and post mortem
discussions. She needs to
supervise the students more
closely and have regular
milestones for check ins.

2 b. Identify the context and logistical issues in this situation that she must address
to implement this new strategy effectively in her classroom.
The lesson that Mia planned had obvious value and she saw the merit in it. Her
implementation and time management of the project were lacking. She did not
keep the students on task enough and they got distracted by other things when
they should have been focused and working. She also underestimated the time
that should have been allotted for the project so the students were not able to
complete it satisfactorily. She will need to manage her time more effectively and
supervise the students more closely to keep them on task. She will need to have
better milestones for keeping the students focused and she will need to allow
more time for discussion in order to increase student lerning.
