ACTIVITY 3.1 – FOLLOWING THE STEPS: Plan out your language lesson plan with technology
integration following the 4 steps. Refer to the mentioned sample above.

If you do not teach a specific subject area, decide what type of lesson you
STEP 1 want to teach (i.e. Math, English, Filipino, etc.). Once you know the subject
area, start developing your goals and objectives of the lesson.
Do you have the proper equipment in the school for your lesson (i.e.,
STEP 2 computer lab, individual computer in the class, etc.)?
Identify the technology skills needed by students to complete the planned
activity in the lesson: You can write these down on the side or write/type

them into your lesson. Once you know what specific technology skills are
needed, then it’s time to research!
Either add or rewrite your performance objectives with the technology
STEP 4 integration. Be sure to add your assessment of both the instructional
content and the technology component.

ACTIVITY 3.2 YOUR FEEDBACK: Answer the following questions as a discussion guide for your
feedback. Write your answer on the space below.

a. Is it difficult to plan the lesson you’ve made?

At first yes, but as I move forward I was able to finish this. The whole time I am
thinking on how my students will be able to learn and achieve the goals and
outcomes I set in.

b. Do you think your lesson plan is easy to follow?

Yes, I believe my lesson plan is easy to follow. I do not use ambiguous words or
unfamiliar tem. I think my students will be able to easily understand on the things I
put.

c. Do you think your chosen tech tools will support your goals?

I think yes. By means of using laptop and social media sites, I can be able to

Activity 6: Thinking about Learning
Here are some guide questions intended to give you a better understanding of this lesson.
a. What other competencies must the students have to use any educational technology?

The new generation of students come ready to work with these new technologies, so
schools must incorporate them into the future curricula, and prepare the educational
staff to operate with them. To reach the goal, schools must integrate the 21 st century
skills – you can learn more about it in dedicated article “21 st Century Skills: what
students need to succeed in today’s society” – moving from 3Rs to 4Cs:
 Critical thinking & problem solving
 Effective communication
 Collaboration & team building
 Creative & innovation

b. Will the use of the technology help all students think and learn more deeply?

Yes, I firmly believe that the use of technology will help the students think and learn
deeply. The knowledge and information that we get from the internet will enable us to
practice fact checking. Also, it teaches us how to not believe in everything that is written
on the internet because as we all know, fake news are rampant these days. I think the
use of technology will help the students to be more knowledgeable and skillful.
