Councilmember Gloria Comments on Stadium Proposal

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 18, 2015) Councilmember Todd Gloria today released the following
comment about the Citizens Stadium Advisory Groups proposal for a new football facility.
I look forward to reviewing the taskforces proposal in detail, specifically focusing on
the projects financing. Analysis by the citys legal and financial experts will help guide
the proposals next steps. I want to thank the members of the taskforce who, under the
leadership of Adam Day, have done a tremendous amount of work within an
accelerated timeframe, said Councilmember Todd Gloria. The Chargers have been part
of the San Diego community for over 50 years, and it is my hope that they continue to
be our citys football team well into the future. I will be interested to learn the Chargers
and NFLs reaction to the proposal so we can gage whether further discussions would
be worthwhile.
