Encourage your student to keep learning all summer


long. One way is to expect him/her to read every
day for a substantial amount of time. Also, 4th
graders are expected to know their math facts, and
many 3rd graders do not know these automatically
yet. I encourage you to get out those flash cards
and make time to work with your student.
