The contractor has been instructed to weld the bottom head of the digester with 2209 welding
consumables and not with 309L. This instruction was issued as the contractor had no qualified welders
to weld with 309L until Saturday 02/05/2015.The contractor is instructed to go ahead and weld the
digester bottom head in the position as per their survey report issued on the 28/04/2015.
Boase has issued a procedure for the fixing and the welding of the Bottom head for the impregnation
vessel. The contractor to follow the Baose procedure.
All of the above was discussed with the Contractor numerous times in meetings the latest was on
Friday Afternoon 01/05/2015
