The numbers being used are 2-10

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
The sum of these numbers is 108. Divide by 3 and the magic
number is 18. Meaning that all columns, rows, and diagonals will
add to 18.

The eight combinations are:

10 + 6 + 2 = 18
Note: The first combination started
with the largest number added to the
smallest number and the difference
supplied the middle number. Then the
next largest number and the smallest
number and so on. It is a pattern and
follows for any series of 9 numbers
chooses for a 3 X 3 matrix.

10 + 5 + 3 = 18
9 + 7 + 2 = 18
9 + 6 + 3 = 18
9 + 5 + 4 = 18
8 + 7 + 3 = 18
8 + 6 + 4 = 18
7 + 6 + 5 = 18
