Kirman, the private driver of a fatal crash suspect on Jagorawi toll road, Abdul Qodir
Jaelani alias Dul, said he was asked to go on vacation on the day of the accident.
That day, I was on leave; so, I didnt know what had happened, said Kirman after
undergoing questioning at the Jakarta Polices traffic directorate in Pancoran, South
Jakarta, on Tuesday, as quoted by tempo.co.
Kirman said it was musician Ahmad Dhanis son who told him to go on vacation. It was
Dul, he said when asked who told him to take leave.
Kirman admitted that he accompanied Dul every day. I always drove him everywhere he
wanted to, he said.
When asked about whether he taught Dul to drive, Kirman remained silent.
Comr.Miyanto of the traffic directorates traffic accident division confirmed Karmins
confession.
He said that he was on leave after 6 p.m. that day, said Miyanto. He said Kirman was
questioned to find out where he was and what he was doing when the accident
occurred.
The accident involving Dul on last Sunday killed seven people and injured seven others.
The 13 year old boy lost control of his Mitsubishi Lancer EX when he was driving to
Jakarta on the Jagorawi toll road. His car struck a road divider before jumping onto a
different lane and hitting two other vehicles.
Dul is receiving medical treatment at Pondok Indah Hospital, South Jakarta. (apt/ebf)

Jakarta Governor Joko "Jokowi" Widodo met with Bangkok Governor Sukhumband
Paribatra at a preliminary meeting ahead of the ASEAN Governors and Mayors Meeting,
which will be held in Jakarta in 2015.
I often visit Jakarta; I love this city. But, Jakarta reminds me of Bangkoks traffic jams,
Sukhumband said at a press conference held at City Hall on Tuesday as quoted by
kompas.com.
He acknowledged that he intended to collaborate with Jokowi on education and tourism.
The meeting was also attended by Tourism and Culture Agency head Arie Budiman and
the head of the Foreign Cooperation and Regional Leaders Bureau, Heru Budi Hartono.
