Did you know that one of the best
times to have heart to heart
discussions with your baby is during
daily routines like diaper changes?
Take the time to use eye contact and
listen to your child coo and babble.

Creating Lifelong Readers


If you are considering buying books
for your infant, look for cloth books
that infants can handle and chew on.
Books that are cardboard hold up
quite well, too. Books that have pop
up pages are fine if you intend to read
it with your child and then put it up.
They tend to get destroyed by curious
babies if they are left for them to
explore. Books with few words and
bright pictures are best.
Reading to your child as part of a daily
routine will help develop literacy skills.
