Shared Reading:
This week we worked on blends. We learned lots of different chants and practiced listening for those sounds. We also played lots of smartboard games. We read:

Played Piggy Bank: The children have to make sums of five to place their money in the piggy bank. They are quickly learning addition facts to five.

Theme

This week we have been writing facts about blue morpho butterflies in our factbook. We also illustrated our factbooks. We began constructing our butterflies, caterpillars, chrysalis, and eggs for the rainforest. Math This week in math centers we: Filled in our February calendar

We have a wonderful lab student from Auburn University, Ms. Colburn. She has spent the last two weeks teaching shared reading in the mornings before we start our day. She is doing a great job!!! Since we no longer rest during the day, your child does not need to bring their towel to school everyday. Please dont forget to send your childs valentines in by Thursday February 9th. Thank you! Our class list has changed again, I have included it again for your child to address their valentines. Thanks so much!!!
