Theme
This week we have been busy learning about the layers of the rainforest. We learned there are four layers in the rainforest: emergent, canopy, understory, and forest floor. We have been learning interesting facts about each layer. We are planning how to build the rainforest in our classroom. Next week we will begin construction! The children also painted the covers of their fact books as the Mexican flag. Math This week we filled in our November calendar. We had to make sure we wrote our numbers correctly and in the right order. We also have begun working on addition during calendar. Our calendar leader is writing out the math problem girl + boys = children in the class. We are discovering that 10+10 always equals 20. The children are having blast writing these big first grade math problems :)
