SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. These procedures are a general guide only. Each worksite will need to be assessed individually to ensure localised hazards are
identified and treated.
2. Routine inspections of Lake Alexander are undertaken every two weeks should an infestation be detected, then the Parks Central
Team Leader is to be notified.

Do not scoop jellyfish out with bare hands use
approved scoop or nets

Scoop out jellyfish if infestation is minor or isolated to
one area
If infestation if more widespread (10 15 jellyfish per
m2) report to Parks Central Team Leader.
Manager Infrastructure Maintenance may order the lake
close while treatment is undertaken
Erect Lake Closed signage (obtain from TL Parks
Central)
Most appropriate treatment is to flush the lake with
fresh water
