-3.18 SettingDrills for game-like situations

Equipment:

7-8 players with one ball box

Teaching Points:

Especially the setters are challenged since they

have to perform an accurate and secure pass
shortly after a defensive-action and foot work
T can easily control the difficulty for the setters

Drill Objective:
Setting and attacking under timepressure

Drill Description:
The setter A (G,H), standing on
position 1, passes a ball to B (C,D,E)
who is standing on position 2. B hits
the ball back to the setter. The setter
again bump-passes the ball back to
position 2 where now C has taken up
his/her position. C catches the ball.
After his/her second ball contact A
moves to the central position (3). In
the meantime, T has passed a ball to
the central setting position which A
has to set to position 4. Meanwhile,
B has moved to this position. Finally
B attacks the ball set from A.
