Arabic: Scheme of work for Reception

About this unit (Term 1)
Inshaa-Allaah, We will cover the following areas as
a part of the Arabic Curriculum.
Language and Literacy
Reading and writing the first 8 Arabic letters.
Story books.
1. The Cake (ART01)
2. My Family (ART02)
Numeracy
Reading, writing, ordering and counting numbers to 5.
Geography:
The weather (sunny, rainy and snowy).
Islamic Studies
Learning the basics of Islaam - "My Lord is Allaah".

Helping your child

Choose a time to practise the Arabic letters and
numbers when your child is not feeling tired or
reluctant.
Mornings can be a better time than after school.
Short but frequent times, (five or ten minutes),
spent together enjoying activities which practise
the Arabic letters and number skills are the best
way of helping young children to become confident.
Give plenty of praise and encouragement.
