On Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at approx. 8:49 PM, Precinct 3 officers responded to the 900 block
of Pine Lake Dr. regarding a shooting. Upon officers arrival it was learned that the victim,
Michael Love had been shot multiple times near this location. He later succumbed to his injuries
and was pronounced deceased.
During the investigation it was learned that the victim had been talking to some unidentified
subjects in a red in color SUV. An argument ensued which led to at least one of the individuals
in the SUV firing shots at the victim, striking him and fleeing the scene.
On Monday, July 6, 2015, Robbery/Homicide Detectives developed Kenyatta Robinson as a
suspect in this incident. He was later identified and has been charged with Murder. He was
booked into the City Jail awaiting an initial court appearance. The investigation is ongoing and
more arrests are possible.
