Man found deceased inside a vehicle

August 21, 2012 (MINNEAPOLIS) This morning just after 6:45 a.m. patrol officers in the Third Precinct responded to a Shotspotter activation near 22nd Street East and Oakland Avenue South. As officers were responding 911 received calls reporting the sounds of shots fired in the same area. Shortly thereafter officers located a van in the 2200 block of Oakland Avenue South with a deceased adult male inside. The male was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating this case and no one has been arrested. The Minneapolis Police Department is asking that anyone with information about this case contact the Minneapolis Police Department through the TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
