Date: 10-19-2012 Subject: Attempted Child Luring The Morristown and Morris Township Police are conducting a joint investigation into a possible child luring incident. On October 18, 2012, at 5:30 P.M. a 15 year old female student was approached outside of Morristown High School by a pale skinned Hispanic male, who was in a blue pickup truck parked on Early St. The male was described as a well-dressed Hispanic with a heavy accent. The vehicle was described as a dark blue or black pickup truck with landscaping equipment in the back. The victim gave no further description of the lights.

Suspect vehicle

The victim stated that she first encountered the suspect on Early St. in front of Morristown High School. The male whistled at her from his vehicle. The suspect followed her as she was walking from Mills St. to Mendham Rd in Morris Township. The suspect parked in the Lukoil gas station parking lot located on Mills St and Washington St., watched the victim from that location and then yelled comments as she passed by. The victim stated the suspect pulled out, circled around Burnham Park and must have parked his vehicle in an unknown location by Burnham Pool. As the victim was near her

residence on Mendham Road, she saw the suspect walking toward her. The victim began to run, at which time the suspect turned around and went in the opposite direction, heading back toward Burnham Pool.
