Man robbed at convenience store

Amarillo police are looking for a robber after a man was robbed at a
convenience store Sunday night.
About 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a 26-year-old man and his 19-year-old
girlfriend were at V&M Discount Food, 1000 S.W. 10th Ave., when
they were approached by a black man armed with a black pistol.
The robber took the mans wallet and got into the back seat of a
nearby silver pickup.
The driver of the pickup knew the robber, but didnt realize he was
participating in a crime, officials said.
The victim followed the pickup while he called the police, and the
robber fired multiple shots at the victim from the pickups rear
window.
The driver dropped off the suspect in the neighborhood where the
robbery took place.The driver of the pickup, a 23-year-old man, saw
police officers at Southwest 13th Avenue and South Washington
Street.
He flagged police down to tell them what had happened, police said.
No injuries were reported.
