Welcome to Ms. Baynes Life Science Class!

I am excited to have you as part of our classroom community! This

year, you will be creating an interactive science notebook that will include
handouts, Cornell style notes, labs and other important science artifacts. In short,
this notebook will be your LIFE in science class, so its important to keep it neat,
organized and have it in class every day!

Students will also be completing a semester long, in-depth STEM

project that will require a display board and other materials specific
to the project. More information on projects will be available later
in August.

In order to have all the classroom supplies necessary to construct the interactive
notebooks, I am asking students to bring in supplies for your own use and for each
class period to bring different supplies to contribute to the class (you will not be
getting your classroom contribution back at the end of the year).

Each INDIVIDUAL student:

Two Composition
Notebooks (Collegeruled)
Two 3-prong folders
Personal pencil
sharpener
Pen or pencil
One 48 x 36 inch display
board (needed by
November)

1 box Crayola markers
1 box of tissues
1 box colored pencils
1 container Clorox wipes

Please have supplies in by Monday, August 3rd.

We will begin constructing notebooks the first week of class and will continue them
throughout the year. Thank you for helping ensure we have all the materials
