I am teaching students the beauty of life after death through worldly cultures.
Learning Segment Overview four lessons 45 minutes each
Lesson 1 (Day 1)
● Host VTS session with Abundance by Tiffany Bozic
● Introduce students to Tiffany Bozic
● Discuss cultures that celebrate death
● Discuss project
● Begin sketches
Lesson 2 (Days 2-3)
● Finish sketches based on animal skeleton parts
● Approve sketches
● Sculpt animal skeleton approximately 5 inches tall or long
● Apply tempura stick coloring
● Apply accessories that match the animal during its life
● Set on drying rack/Clean up
Lesson 3 (Day 4)
● Students write a small blurb about why they chose their animal and how their skeleton
sculpture honors it
● Students Present their skeleton to the class
● Students turn in the skeleton and written blurb
Lesson 4 (Day 5)
● Teacher grades using a rubric
● The teacher uses blurb for a participation grade
