Lesson
Seg. 1 (10 minutes) Teacher will show students the importance of photo editing and
discuss the different types of software available for editing
Seg. 2 (20 minutes) Teacher will show students video of how to use Pixlr pausing
occasionally
Seg 2.5 (10 minutes) Allow students to practice tricks in pixlr in between each pause
Seg. 3 (25 mins) Allow students to find a photo that needs editing. Let them play around
in Pixlr and edit them.
Seg. 4 (9 min) Allow students to gradually put away chrome books and clean up

Instructional Strategies and Learning Tasks (Procedures & Timelines)


1. Students will enter classroom and be told to grab their assigned chromebooks
2. Teacher will discuss importance of editing photos and will show some photos before and
after editing
3. Teacher will discuss what Pixlr is and how to access it.
4. Students will then create login using google password and login to pixlr
5. Students will begin Pixlr demo videos and take notes as they watch.
6. Students will then pick an image to edit.
7. Teacher will play video again but this time pause in between steps allowing students to
edit their images
8. Students will continue to edit photo once video ends
9. Students will share before and after with table
10. Teacher will instruct students to gradually put chromebooks back
11. Students will spray down areas making sure it is sanitized and clean
