Summary and Next steps from the 7/1/15 meeting

1) Greater outreach strategy & Martin Tisnes working group pilot:

a) Priority Countries have been decided upon (but are not inflexible). The countries selected are:
Colombia, Indonesia, Liberia, Mexico, Mongolia, Philippines, Tanzania/Ghana, United Kingdom,
United States of America.
b) Priority Issue still needs clarification, but has continued to evolve and become more clear.
Jonathan will be creating the first potentially distributable 1-pager of the WGs focus.
c) Priority Activities for July/August should be to reach out to our priority countries. To conduct
this outreach, we need to generate contacts. WRI and NRGI will research their relevant contacts
in those countries, and pool the contact list into a central place. Jonathan will create and
distribute a shared document for WG members to fill in.
2) Communications
a) ONR-WG Report will be completed by the time Jonathan leaves (7/17/15). It has so far been
reviewed by Carole and formatted for style. A concrete priority issue will allow Jonathan to
complete the report.
b) Liberian success blog entry will be made for both the new TAI website and for distribution on the
OGP open government guide/Civil Society Hub
3) USG outreach
The follow-up meeting planned for USG engagement has been temporarily suspended. Instead, a
period of more bilateral engagement and contact acquisition is going to happen before another
general gathering type meeting is conducted. (This is in line with the overall outreach strategy for
all priority countries)
4) Upcoming Events
a) Meeting with Open Government Guide 7/8/15 A good place to share the WGs deliverables
b) Summit in Mexico 10/27/15 WG needs to start planning activities for this event
