11TH REGIONAL NUTRITION ACTION OFFICERS CONGRESS AND AWARDING

CEREMONY FOR THE 2015 GRAND NUTRITION AWARDS

In observance of the 41st Nutrition Month Celebration, series of activities are set to be conducted at
the local level towards the end of July 2015. As centerpiece of its culminating activity, the Regional Nutrition
Committee (RNC), in partnership with the Central Visayas Association of Nutrition Action Officers (CVNAO)
will hold the above-subject event on August 4, 2015 at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu, Archbishop
Reyes Avenue, Cebu City. It aims to update the Nutrition Action Officers on the current developments on
nutrition, and convene them into an assembly to air their concerns. It also serves as a venue to recognize the
local government units exemplary performance on nutrition program implementation.
To make the event more meaningful, the following core group and key officials are invited as
participants:

Nutrition Action Officers;

Members of the Local Nutrition Committees; and
Awardees in the Region on the conduct of Monitoring and Evaluation on Local Level Plan
Implementation (MELLPI)

As Vice-Chair of the RNC, the DILG is in-charge of the invitation, thus, please help facilitate the
confirmation of attendees and submit a consolidated list of same not later than July 30, 2015.
Please disseminate this information to all concerned in your respective localities and enjoin the
support of all LCEs to authorize the attendance of invited participants. All expenses for this purpose may be
chargeable against their local funds, subject to its availability, and the usual accounting and auditing rules
and regulations.
Further, please submit a special report on nutrition month celebration, highlighting the activities
conducted by all LGUs in your respective localities, to reach this level not later than August 10, 2015.
