Dear Jose,

I hope that everything in your life it's okay, it has been a long time since I
heard about you and your life. I imagine you are busy with all the
study, because I heard that you are studying double career and I think it's very
difficult to find time to do something. I remembered you when I went to
Neiva last week, because I spent such a nice time with you when we were in
high school; it was fun spending time with someone like you, so
shy, nice and enthusiastic, I learnt a lot about those years of friendship.
At this moment, I am doing my thesis about: how does a community of
people, is affected by the arrival of an oil company in a certain place? I chose
this topic because in the university nobody has realized this investigation, and I
have the necessary resources to carry out this work. On the other
hand I think you are in the same semester as me, and I hope you have already
begun with your thesis or well with your degree work, because I dont know the
other options that your university offers in order to graduate. As far as I
know, you are in your fourth semester of visual arts and I hope that you like your
decision; I expect that everything in your career go well.
In the next months, I will be traveling to Canada because before graduating I
need to learn English very well including all the abilities: speaking, writing,
reading and listening. I thought about writing to you, because you have already
traveled and I want some suggestions. I will go to Neiva in a few months for
saying good bye to all my friends and to spend time with all of them, I will go to
swim, dance, to the cinema and enjoy San Pedros festival, because it is special
for me and you. I hope that you and I can work together when I return to
Colombia, and I will be expecting with anxieties see you in Neiva and in my
welcome back.
