Procrastination

A: Hello. How are you, it has been so long since the last time we met.
B: Sure, I moved to another city and you were studying at the university.
A: That’s right, but I failed. I made many mistakes along the way.
B: So, tell me what happened to you? Don’t’ make me feel scared about every fact
you have lived.
A: first of all, do you know about procrastination?
B: Well, I know that procrastination has always been involved in our daily lives and
influenced the way we deal with our activities and pending tasks from the simplest
tasks to the hardest ones.
A: that’s correct. Personally, in many moments of my life I have procrastinated,
especially the time I was studying at the university, I remember that I wasn’t aware
about the subjects there; I didn’t even know about it, so it had very negative effects
in my grades at the end of the semester.
B: I understand that you didn’t know about them, but what Is your point, you were
telling me about procrastination and grades, are those facts related to the events
that happened to you?
A: Yeah! For sure. here it comes, I notice that something was wrong in my life and
my university, I started finding information about how to do thing at the right time
and not to procrastinate, that was because I wasn’t doing my assignments at the
right time. I found a concept that I remember until now. It says that procrastination
is the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute or the deadline. I was
shocked because I notice that I was a procrastinator.
B: So, tell me, how did you feel emotionally about it? I think that procrastination is
affecting many people in the last 10 years at least and I know that is not that easy
for many people to get out of that circle.
A: Emotionally, procrastination was affecting me in a way that it was difficult to
deal with the thoughts and negative moods generated by certain tasks such as
those that I considered hard or boring. the main emotions procrastinating caused
me were anxiety, insecurity, frustration, and resentment. But later on, I realized
that procrastination is a problem of emotion regulation, not a problem of time
management, so that's where my change began.
B: Everything you have said is inspiring, since you notice the problem until you find
out a solution. Finally, I think that everyone procrastinates, some of us more than
others. But people set strategies up in order to compete tasks on time. For
example, in your case at the university; taking notes, having a study schedule,
being disciplined and so on. Hope you will be doing great in the coming years.
A: I absolutely agree with you, when someone needs to study, they may limit their
distractions in order to avoid procrastination and to get concentrated. avoiding
multitasking, and taking breaks to keep focused can help not to be a
procrastinator. That’s what I’ve leant until know and what I’m going to practice
from now.
B: Awesome, everything you have said is a very important information from your
own experience. Let me ask you something, will you be here tomorrow? Let’s talk
about another topic.
A: Yeah, I’m developing a project here, I’m going to be here for the next 2 months.
B: Perfect, see you then.

A Memory Letter first year at the University
Dear Pedro.
I decided to write you this letter because I can’t get over this memory. A
significant memory of mine that happened when I finished school and started
university during the pandemic situation. In 2020, I was a school student, it
was my last year in high school. I had gotten used to it, I had made many
friends and most importantly, I had learned many academic topics. Every day
I needed to get up early and attend to classes at school and spent time with
friends and classmates. That was something I had been doing for almost 5
years, so when I finished school, I started university this year without
expecting that there would appear a virus. It is said that this virus appeared in
Wuha, China in 2020.
Let me tell you that, I had been starting university when the pandemic started
here in Peru. it’s believed that first year at the university is an awesome
experience, but starting university experience for me was completely
different, something that wasn’t expected by new students like me.
unfortunately, adding the pandemic to it made it even worse, I didn’t only
have to make a change from school to university but I had to make changes
to adapt from face-to-face classes to virtual classes it was even more
complicated, everyone was affected by this new dangerous virus. It was also
a dark memory for me. Literally, I had to meet and known my classmates
form home, My first year at the university was unexpected, so by the time I’ll
attend to a face-to-face class, I’m sure that it is going to be another dark
memory for me.
Sorry if it bothers you, I just wanted to tell you everything that happened to
me and I hope to see you soon to talk about many other things that have
happened to us in the last years.
Sincerely Shantal

An Article about How was really build Egypt Pyramids?
When I was in school, I read a history book about ancient pyramids in the middle
Est, the Keops, Kefren and Micerino. the way they have been built is fascinating,
since then I never stop reaching information about Egypt pyramids. There are lots
of stories that explain the way every pyramid has been built, some people say that
species from another galaxy or system had built them, it couldn’t have been true.
others say that Egyptians who lived there that age made it as Tombs for Pharaohs
using methods to move stones. Let me show some of my certain researches about
the right theory.
The pyramids are 4500 years old according to the national geographic magazine,
the same age has a ramp system discovered in pyramids’ surroundings used to
move and transport giant stones, reports have suggested that it could have
provided clues to how Egyptians built the pyramids but the pyramids connection is
still a mystery, another ramp system has been found by the Liverpool university’s
researchers which dates as far as the Pyramid Keops construction, this theory
supports that ancient Egyptians must have built the pyramids using ramp systems.
According to a professor of Egyptian art and architecture at the university of
California, an archeologists team detected another prove to show that the pyramids
were built by Egyptians a system to move and sled usage, to cut and pull blocks of
stones dated to the same reign when the pyramids were built. Ancient Egyptians
built the pyramids using a sled which carried a stone block that was attached with
ropes to the sled, that’s the way they transported thousands of blocks until they
completed the pyramids.
To conclude, its difficult to tell the significant of this discovery because there are
still lots of mysteries to solve in the Egyptian’s legacy which may be solved soon or
at least try to show the real history about the truth, but something is clear,
according to the researchers, archeologists and the proves, the pyramids were
built by ancient Egyptians using ramp systems, sled usage and knowledge to cut,
move and pull blocks of stone.
