Traveling to Sicily
There are many different ways to arrive to Sicily depending
what city or country you are flying from. We recommend that
you fly to Rome with the airline of your choice. Once you
arrive in Rome, leave yourself enough time before you hop on
your next flight from Rome to Catania (1hour flight). Once in
Catania, you will take a bus to Taormina (1 hour).

Traveling to Sicily
Buon viaggio! J

Flight information
We recommend that you book your flight to Rome
Fiumicino/Leonardo Da Vinci airport because this is
the main central airport in the city. Then, book your
next flight leaving from Rome Fiumicino to Catania
(Sicily). Be aware of the baggage fees as some airlines
charge more per kg.

Bus information
The local bus leaves Catania airport and drives to the main
bus depot in Taormina (approx. 5 euros). From there, taxis
will be waiting outside the depot to take you to your hotel.
However, we will be reserving private shuttles for those
who will be traveling in large groups. The cost of the
private shuttle depends on the number of people in your
group (ranges from 5-20 euros per person).

Hotel information
Hotel Continental is where the bride and groom will
be staying for the duration of the trip. It is highly
recommended to arrive in Taormina at least 2 days
before the wedding. The bride and groom will be
arriving a week before the wedding and we will be
departing Taormina on August 8th for our honeymoon.

Tips for Taormina

Be aware of pickpocketers all over Europe.
Wear a money belt.

Beyond Sicilys incredible beaches, architecture,

monuments and enchanting landscapes, here
are some things you absolutely need to
experience in Sicily:

Check the menus carefully at restaurants

because they generally give the prices per
person. Most restaurants and caffs charge a
sitting fee and they are most expensive in the
main piazza where all the tourists are.

-Sicilian cannoli (desserts)

-Arancini siciliani (rice balls)
-Wine, of course (Nero dAvola, Moscato,
Marsala, fruity white wines)

To experience Italy like a local, shop at the

grocery stores and open markets for fresh fruit,
cheese, meats, bread, and pick up your wine at
a liquor store (away from the heart of the city).

-Italian gelato
-Authentic wood fired pizza from a real Italian
pizzeria
