This study explored the perceptions of women in marriage in Pakistan, especially their agency and their

sovereignty to join and end their marriages. Expert studies with 15 women living in shelters in Pakistan
were used to explore the rights of women in marriage as set out in the legislation and the way in which
they are encountered in reality. There is a major difference between women's de jure rights and the de
facto practise of their rights. Females who breach narrowly established limits of conduct when
expressing their rights have experienced abuse, family alienation and stigmatisation. Shifting
perceptions among women and a demand for greater self-determination in relation to their marriage.
Improving the legal system and the legal system and general education on humanitarian law in Pakistan
is suggested in order to safeguard women's rights and enhance the role of women in the family and
community.

Not only this before marriage there is a huge deal that can impact life after marriage in Pakistan that is a
dowry scheme. It has a vital role to play in human life. It's like a turning point in time. It leads to a lot of
problems in life after wedding, but. In the social hardships that prevail and affect Pakistani society, the
dowry system plays the most important role. It spreads its roots far and wide in almost every sectionbof
society  and is highly common in Pakistani culture. The Dowry scheme is one of Pakistan's most
prominent offences. This is not the issue that people face now, but it has actually influenced people over
the years. Women's interests have been abused in the name of a dowry scheme. Too many girls in
Pakistan remain unmarried because they're married.People are not able to fulfil the demands. The
presence of (gross) dowry was viewed as proof that women are paying for marriage (Tertilt, 2005). The
Dowry Scheme is a major evil that still persists in Pakistan. It is an act of bigotry against young women
whose morals are specified on the basis of the prices of their respective dowries. This is a sign of greed
and selfishness, and it is a great burden, particularly for the parents who belong to the family. nIn the
lower middle class. In addition, the high dowries, it is said, add to the suffering of the parents of the
daughters and hence contribute to a lack of women (brides). (Edlund, 2006) . That's why people get sad
and feel cursed when a baby is born. Oh, daughter. In Pakistan, the Dowry Scheme should be prohibited,
much like servicing more than one person. The dish at the wedding ceremony was forbidden and people
can refuse to marry until the dowry is over. Required or granted. Banning this tradition leads to a happy
life since it is a major source of tension. Prohibiting this practice leads to a happy life since it is a major
source of tension among girls' guardians. Nor does it support an Islamic act.
