The Japanese Alphabets


The Japanese Alphabets have four main kinds.
These are the following alphabets:

Hiragana
Katakana
Kanji
Romaji

1. Hiragana ( , ?)
This is a Japanesesyllabify,
one
basic
component of theJapanese writing system
, along withkatakana,
kanji, and in some cases rmaji(the
Latin-script alphabet).
It means "ordinary syllabic script".
It is used for particles and stem verbs &
adjectives.

Katakana( , ?)
Itis aJapanesesyllabify, one component
of theJapanese writing systemalong with
hiragana, kanji, and in some cases the
Latin script(known as romaji).
Itmeans "fragmentary kana", as the
katakana characters are derived from
components of more complex kanji.
It is also used for foreign names, places,
and scientific terms.

3. Kanji ( )
These
are
the
adoptedlogographic
Chinese characters(hnz) that are used in the
modernJapanese writing systemalong withhiragana
andkatakana.
TheJapanesetermkanjifor the Chinese characters
literally means "Hancharacters"[2]and is written
using the same characters as theChinesewordhnz
(simplified Chinese: ;traditional Chinese: ).
This is used for Japanese names, root parts of
speech such as verbs and adjectives, nouns and
some places.
