Academic projects undertaken

Junior Thesis (July-Dec. 2004): Presented Seminar on Thermoanalytical Methods for study of solid phase
reactions. The work involved exhaustive literature survey on various methods used for analysis of solid
phase reactions, a challenging topic in Chemical engineering.
Summer Project (May 2005 till date): Proposed plausible factors for determining the size of Nanoparticles
formed in water-oil microemulsion and studied under TEM under the guidance of Prof K. C. Khilar at the
department of chemical Engineering, IITB. The task at hand was to do thoruogh data collection on Particle size
distributions and comparing empirical observations with proposed theory.
B. Tech Project (July 2005 Dec, 2005): Designed a chemical reactor, of 45000 TPA capacity, for
manufacture of Aniline from Nitrobenzene. A new mechanism was tested instead of the ones commercially
in use.
Management Project (Sept. Nov. 2005) on Collusive oligopoly in a nearby market.
Course Project (Dec 2004) on Simulation of a non-isothermal packed bed reactor with radial dispersion.
