In reading, we kicked off our latin/greek root word unit by looking at “water” words. The students are making PowerPoints to display all the new words they are learning this year. In grammar, the students reviewed the different types of sentences. This week in writing, we went back to the basics with paragraph writing: topic, supporting, and conclusions sentences. The students wrote about their favorite games. They also wrote their “hello” letters for their new PenPals. To conclude the week, the students made About Me Wordless for our Parent Night, and we read with our reading buddies.
