MS-WORD-Lab Exercise

1. Create a table with the following fields.


a) S.No

b) Emp No.
c) Name

d) Basic Pay
e) HRA
f) DA

g) City allowance

h) Total (Calculate using the formula option)

i) Find the maximum and the minimum salary.

Add 5 rows of data to your table. Spot the table by Emp no., calculate the total basic pay, HRA, DA,
City allowance and the grand total using the formula option. Delete a row from your table and
update the total fields.

2. Draw flow chart for any program of your choice in the word document. Use start box, process box
and decision box

4. Open a open document and draw a organizational chart of Kongu Engineering college. (at least 4
level)

5. Using mail merge option create a letter from to send it to 5 parents inviting them for the parents
meeting arranged by the department on a specified data. The data source should have the following
fields

6. Create a template document containing the name of the college and department as the
leading, our college emblem in the left end and TUV symbol in the right end of the heading.
Save the template document. Use the template you have created to type a letter to any agency
requesting them give you a project work in their organization.
