Open the Bustier Purse file in

your cutting software and cut
pieces from the paper of your
choice. All pieces are shown
and labeled in the diagram on
the right. Note: lighter paper
or cardstock will work best for
this project, as the paper
needs to curve a couple
different ways when it is glued
together. Heavier cardstock
will not curve as smoothly.
Score all pieces indicated in the diagram as shown in Photo 1.
To form the bra cups, match up one piece with tabs on two sides (one side will have longer
tabs than the other) and one piece with tabs on one side as shown in Photo 2. Fold the long
tabs to the inside and glue to the longer smooth edge of the matching piece, curving both
pieces as you glue the tabs in place to form a round cup as shown in Photo 3.
Fold the shorter tabs on each bra cup towards the outside, and glue in place to the top of
the bustier front, curving the bra cup as you glue, also shown in Photo 3.
Punch small holes in the center of each scallop on the bustier side pieces as shown in Photo
4. (Optional: attach eyelets to each hole.)
Glue the bustier sides to the bustier front as shown in Photo 5. Only glue along the curved
side, leaving the center front loose.
Glue the purse sides to the purse back, curving the sides as you glue to follow the contours
of the back as shown in Photo 6.
Glue one side of the purse bottom to one purse side, as shown in Photo 7.

Glue the bottom edge of the purse back to one side of the purse bottom, curving the purse
back to fit the shape of the bottom, then glue the remaining side of the purse bottom to the
opposite purse side, as shown in Photo 8.
Glue the bottom of the purse front to the purse bottom, curving the purse front to follow the
contours of the back. Glue the sides of the purse front to the purse sides, one at a time, as
shown in Photo 9. If you are working with heavier paper, glue two or three tabs at a time
and allow them to dry before gluing the next tabs. This will make it easier to curve the purse
front to the shape of the sides.
Lace ribbon through the holes in the bustier front as shown in Photo 10.
Optional: Glue lace trim around the top of the bustier purse as shown in Photo 11.
Weave ribbon through the slots in the purse handle as shown in Photo 12.
Punch a small hole in each side of the purse approximately 1 from the top. Attach the
handle to the purse using decorative brads.
