Cut out the Fabric
Draw the patterns directly onto the wrong side of a single layer of fabric. Because there is a right and left
shoe you will need to reverse the sole pattern when tracing. Make sure the right and left pieces are
separated to avoid confusion when attaching the soles. Cut out the exterior, lining, and interfacing. Fuse
the interfacing on the wrong side of the lining following the manufacturer’s guide.

Make the Upper

Place the upper top piece onto the exterior upper.
Pin in place and topstitch as shown in the picture,
see Picture 1. When you make the upper top piece
using the fabric, See Appendix. Stitch the upper top.

Place the exterior and lining upper with right sides
together. Pin and sew both pieces, see Picture 2.

Clip the seams and trim the corner seams, see Flip the upper and match the exterior and the lining

Topstitch 1/8” away from the edge. Repeat this
process for other uppers, see Picture 4.

Sew the Upper back

Place the exterior upper back pieces with right sides
together. Pin and stitch. Backstitch on both ends,
see Picture 5. Sew the other exterior upper back and
lining upper back in the same manner.

Clip the curved seams, see Picture 7.

Attach the 6 eyelet pieces as indicated on the
pattern, see Picture 9. See Appendix. Attach the eyelet.
Repeat this process for other upper back pieces.

Place the assembled exterior upper back piece and
lining upper back piece with right sides together.
Pin in place and stitch all around the upper back
piece, leave the bottom for turning, see Picture 6.

Press the upper back piece and topstitch 1/8” from
the edge. Topstitch both eyelet line as indicated on
the pattern, backstitch on both ends, see Picture 8.

Position the upper back piece onto the upper piece
as indicated on the pattern. Pin and stitch together.

process for other shoe.

Assemble the Shaft and Upper
