Agendas were issued last week and are expected to bring to class every day. Students are to write down their
homework assignments in the agenda as part of our class daily routines. Please check with your cadet to verify
that they received their agendas as this is also another form of communication that we will utilize to keep you

American History Founding Principles, Civics and Economics


This week we are studying the roots of democracy as it relates to our government. We
learned different strategies to use develop a brief presentation to class. We also
discussed expectations regarding homework and proper formatting. Our Constitution
test scores need improvement and we will do test corrections in class as time allows.

We concluded our study of European Exploration in the Americas. Our first test is now
in progress. This week will explore colonization in the Americas in particular North
Africa and its impact on society during that time.

This week took our first test centered on stereotypes and misperceptions of the Middle
East. We will discuss the results of the test next class and begin our study of the
geography of the Middle East and North Africa.
