Arts Showcase

Te!Waiponamu!has!been!the!theme!for!our!learning!this!year!and!our!showcase!was!a!
celebration!of!learning!about!the!South!Island!through!the!arts.!We!would!like!to!thank!
all!the!parents!and!whnau!who!helped!us!prepare!for!this!event.!Staff!worked!tirelessly!
to!achieve!our!goal!of!having!five!hundred!and!seventy!children!celebrate!the!arts!
through!performance.!If!you!have!any!digital!footage!or!photos!that!you!would!be!willing!
to!share!please!we!would!love!copies.!
!

The!team!would!like!to!acknowledge!and!thank!Mandy!Perry!and!Grant!Robertson!for!
their!technical!expertise!and!support;!their!help!was!invaluable.!Kristin!Chisnall!led!our!
lighting!and!sound!for!each!of!the!performances!making!sure!that!the!children!received!
an!authentic!onFstage!experience.!It!is!also!important!to!thank!Olivia!Hanson,!Jane!Allen!
and!Thomas!Parata!who!worked!tirelessly!coFordinating!the!key!elements!of!the!

School!Donation!Prize!Draw!=!A!prize!draw!has!been!held!for!all!the!families!that!have!
paid!the!school!donation.!!Congratulations!to!the!Iranyi!family!and!the!Holmes!family!for!
winning!this!terms!draw.!!We!thank!all!the!families!who!have!supported!the!school!by!
paying!their!school!donation!and!keeping!their!account!up!to!date.!!There!will!be!another!

Scooters!=!Last!chance!before!the!holidays!to!collect!your!childs!scooter!from!those!that!
have!been!left!behind!over!the!last!few!weeks!and!months.!!Wouldnt!your!child!love!to!
ride!their!scooter!in!the!holidays?!!Please!see!Heather!if!you!think!one!of!the!20!scooters,!
2!helmets!and!1!bike!might!belong!to!your!child.!!!

French!Lessons!=!We!have!places!left!in!each!of!our!French!classes!for!Term!4.!This!term!
lessons!will!be!held!on!a!Wednesday!afternoon!in!our!TLC!Room.!Yr!4!F!6!children!will!
have!their!lesson!from!1.30!!2.15pm!and!Yr!1!F!3!children!from!2.15!!2.55pm.!Priority!
