Dear students,

Mr. Ni gave you some tasks but seems you havent completed. Please do
following two things and submit a report to me next week:
1.
calculate the first 5 frequencies of the beam using analytical equation and
SAP2000;
2.
calculate the loadings to be applied at the middle of the beam to cause
two levels of damage: i) concrete starts to have crack, and ii) reinforced bar
starts yielding.
When you are waiting for pouring concrete, please read the relevant
references I shown you at the first meeting.
