Problem definition
Design a smart phone application
which can help the commuter to
know which bus exactly goes to his
destination and predict the time it
takes to reach his bus stop by letting
him know its position through GPS.

Literature Survey
There is an android application design for local
trains in Mumbai called SmartShehar which
automatically figures out your location, gives
you the list of local trains that you want.
There is a similar application in Mysore called
Mysore Intelligent TRAnsport system MITRA
which displays the real time position of vehicles
on detailed digitized road map of Mysore and
are linked with communication control system
to provide most updated information.

Literature Survey
ShopTrackTM provides an effortless, customised
solution. Customers no longer have to leave the Portal
site to track their purchases. They just need to enter
the order-number of their purchase and the shipping
and delivery details are displayed on the same page.
The Portal can decide how to display the data elements
and may even store them in their database.
ShopTrackTM is another time and cost-saving tool
created to arm Blue Dart's customers with a
competitive edge.
There are similar applications for different Courier
Service companies.

There is no such application in Hubli.
No instantaneous bus locating
systems.
We can enhance the application with
more features.

Symbian.

Choosing the best solution

Since we have studied 8051 and
have gone through the workshop of
ARDUINO, we use 8051 for
interfacing purposes.
