She is so
content with
living in this
idealistic reality,
that she has
forgotten what
the outside, real
world is actually
Mourning Mountains
Who names I do not know
Admiring green parts with peaks of snow
Watching rolling enclaves
Dribble little streams
These are all aspects which help make my dreams
Harsh declines and rugged land
Emphasis just how much man
Has to learn about true beauty
And I feel that it's our duty
Admiration is always a temptation
When I see the sea
Splashing in rage at me
Showing off its gymnastic ability
The waves jump higher than I can see visibly
Now I'm dreaming about riding these waves
I jump on top and let it carry me away
Gliding gracefully I can safely say
This is the best feeling I've had in many days
Looking down I can see ripples of reality
Drawing ever closer they start to mesmerize me
Now completely immersed
I can't hear the words that used to hurt
I'm suspended in the air
Being carried along and not giving a care
Looking up I see lights scattered round
Pointing in a direction which is homewards bound
Trusting the current
To cradle me numb
Rendering me helpless like it's carrying its young
I know when I open my eyes
I feel the darkness come from inside
I trust the sea
And I don't know why
It just feels so normal to lye
------And then I wake up and realise I'm in the same room,
Looking at the same gloom.
This sentence is a
description of how
completely mesmerised she
is with her scenery, and the
atmosphere she was once
surrounded with.
All of this scenery is just
a figment of her
imagination.
Here she is stating
that admiration, and
dreaming about a
happier period of her
life, is always a
temptation; as she is
now living in misery,
and unhappiness.
In this sentence she is so
compelled by the waves and
her own thoughts, that the
darkness is no longer visible
to her.
This sentence is
emphasising her true
dark side, she is so
content, and immersed
with happiness, yet she
is still reminded of her
Here she is using a metaphor
of the waves to describe the
power of her own thoughts.
The thoughts in her own head
are so powerful, that she feels
numb with happiness.
Without these dreams,
she is completely
helpless as she cannot
face her true reality.
