    Professor Mindy Appold and her LA 22700 class received national recognition by the American Society of

    Landscape Architects for the parklet charrette that they created for the City of Lafayette last April. She
    was recognized during PARK(ing) Day which was held on Friday, September 18th. PARK(ing) Day was
    founded in 2005 and ASLA encourages its professional and student members to lead the design and
    installation of parklets and show the public how surprising designed parklets can be. Congratulations to
    Professor Mindy Appold!
