Birmingham Forest OAKS aims to provide safe opportunities for children to learn and play outdoors in nature, develop an understanding and appreciation of the environment, and provide training to promote outdoor learning. The organization will hold its annual general meeting and orchard skill share event on October 10th from 10am to 1pm at the Sutton Park Visitor Centre, where attendees can learn about traditional orchard creation, care, celebrations and activities for holding an apple day. Members support these aims by volunteering their time, space and resources.
