Activity#1
:PowerPointMathGameMonsters,Witches,andCandies

Studentswillplayingroups,theywilldecidedwhatcategorytheywanttoplayforthe
amountofmoneytheywantfromtheoptions.Eachoptionhasdifferenttypesofmath
questionsinit,thestudentswillhavetoanswerthemcorrectlyforthemtobeabletoget
themoneyStudentswillhave3minutesmaximumtoanswerthequestion.Attheendthe
groupwiththemostamountmoneywins.
Activity#2:
MathtomakethemThink!!
Place a number on the board and assign them numbers they can use to find
different methods to get the answer. It can be a two or three digit number.
Now challenge students to use the digits on the small cards to create an
equation that equals the number on the large card. They can use some of

the digits or all of the digits in their equation but can only use each digit
once.
Activity#3:
MeasureYourPulsewithaStraw!
Studentswillbeabletotocounttheirpulsesandmonitortheirheartratebyusingaballof
clay.Thestudentwillcounttheirpulseratefor30seconds.After,thestudentwillbeaskto
multiplyhis/hernumberbytwotodeterminetheheartrateperminute.Foranhigher
heartratehavethestudentdosomejumpingjacksandher/himperformthepulsecount
again.Thistimehis/herheartrateshouldbesignificantlyhigher.

ACTIVITY#4:Baseboardstopracticenumberfactswithplayingcards.
Studentswillplayinsmallgroupsandusethebaseboardpapertoplayandpracticewith
cardsandgettheproblemanswersthatyoucanfindinthelogsheet.
