    YouhaverecentlysentataskforustocreateatorpedoprototypeinordertodestroytheDeath
    Star.Withthehelpofmyfellowteammemberswehavedesigned,constructed,andexperimented
    differentmodels,andconfirmingwhichoneisthebestafteranalysisoftheprototypes.

    Displayedtotheleftarethe3
    differentprototypesthatwerenominated
    toutilizeinourexperimentation.
    Model1a(farthesttotheleft)was
    chosentoexaminetheflightofthe
    planeintheair.Model1bwasselected
    basedonthesimplicityoftheplane,
    focusingonaerodynamics.Lastly,model
    1cfocusedonthewingsoftheplane,
    observingtheoutcometoseeifthe
    wingsdomakeadifferenceinthe
    flight.Thethreeplaneswerelaunchedabout4.6metersawayfromatarget.Measuringthe
    distancefromthetargetscenterpointusingthexandycoordinates,gaveusinformationabout
    howaccurateandprecisetheplaneswerefromthebullseye.

    Results:
    Eachmodelwaslaunchedtowardsthe
    target10timesandtheresulting
    locationoftheplanewasrecordedusing
    thexandyaxis.Theresultsofeach
    modelareshowninthegraphtothe
    right.Althoughtheyallseemscattered,
    mostofthedatapointsshowtheplanes
    clusteraroundthefirstandthird
    quadrant.Inourobservations,wehad
    noticedthemodel1aplane(Adrianne&
    Col2)wouldflapitswingsintheair
    havingitstaylongerinflight.However,aftermultiple
    throwsitstarttocurvetotheleftavoidingthetarget.
    AsforModel1b,ittraveledquitesomedistanceandflew
    straightaheadbutitseemedtogotoofarfromthetarget.
    Model1chadacombinationofthetwopreviousmodels,it
    haddistancebutattheendofitsflightitwouldcurve
    justabit.

    Proceedingwiththeexperimentcamethedataanalysis.
    UsingthePythagoreantheoremwecalculatedthetotal
    distancefromthetargetforeachmodel,alongwithfinding
    outthestandarddeviationusingerrorbarstoindicateit,
    whichisshowntotheleft.Fromthechart,wenoticedthatmodel1b(Brianna&Col4)wasthe
    leastaccurateandpreciseamongthethree.LookingatModels1aand1ctheirerrorbarslook
    similar,howeverModel1ahastheleastdistancefromthetarget.

    Concluding,therecommendedmodelthatmyteamandIhavedecidedonisModel1a.Duetothe
    experimentation,webelievethatourchancesaregreat.
