isspokentoEveybyVasshefiguresoutwhatherpurposeinlifeis.VforVendettastartson
November5th,1997,introducingthecharacterEveyasshebeginsherjourneyasaprostitute,but
notforlong.AsEveymakesafataldecisionaboutwhosheapproaches,Vsavesherfrombeing
sexuallyassaulted.EveybeginstotakecommandsfromV,inreturn,shegetsaplacetostay.
Thisbooktakesthereaderonarollercoasterride,withtwistsandturnsthatareunexpected.
StartingwiththecharacterEvey,whoisshereally?SomemaysaysheisjustoneofVspawns
orasymbolofnaivety,butshesmorethanthat,sheisavehicleforthemessageofjusticeand
freedom.

thinkaboutthepresentday.Herpaindoesnotgoawayuntilshechangesherselfandher

SomepeoplemaythinkEveyisoneofVspawnsorasymbolanaivety,butshesmore
thanthat,sheisavehicleforthemessageofjusticeandfreedom.Fromtheverystart,Eveyhas
somesortofpurpose.Otherwise,whywouldtheauthorgiveheranameorwhydoesshelook
differentfromtheotherfemaleroles?SheistheonlyonethatisclosetoVwhoknowshim
fromapersonallevel,butnottoopersonally.ShetrustsVandVhastrustinher.Ifthattrust
wasnotbuilt,thenEveywouldnothavebecomethenewVintheend.
